Swapped ETFs – Plans to exclude them from PEAs dropped

Savings – The government has dropped its plan to exclude swap-based ETFs from the PEA equity savings plan, following comments from David Amiel, the Minister for Public Action and Accounts. The Treasury had previously considered removing eligibility for synthetic-replication index funds from the scheme. The U-turn drew sharp criticism from an independent financial adviser executive.
